Osteopathy has been around since the 1800s!
This non-invasive modality recognizes that structure and function are interrelated (if the structure is off, so is function; if function is off it will be reflected in the structure). When the body is balanced and mobile, the chances of dysfunction and pain are significantly reduced!
Looking at the body as a whole, Manual Osteopathy addresses all structures including:
- craniosacral system
As an example, if someone presents with shoulder pain/limited range of motion, we wouldn’t simply look at the area of pain. We would address the muscles, fascia, joints, associated organs, ribs, spine, and probably a few other things!
